B.C. Home Market Shows Signs of Gradual Recovery in August
August brought another dip in B.C. home sales, with a 4.7% year-over-year decrease to 5,653 properties sold and average prices hovering just under $925,000. While the market is showing signs of gradual recovery, activity remains below long-term averages. It's interesting to see how regions differ: Okanagan experienced a notable 22% drop in sales, whereas South Peace River saw an increase of nearly 35%. As someone who has marketed homes across North Vancouver, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Burnaby South, and Downtown Vancouver, I keep a close eye on these local shifts—they shape both opportunities and expectations for buyers and sellers.
