BC Rent Relief: Vancouver Still Tops Canadian Rental Market

Rents in Vancouver have declined by 7.4% compared to last year but remain the highest among major Canadian cities. One-bedroom rents dropped 6.1%, two-bedrooms 4.4%. By 2051, 55% of Vancouver residents are projected to live in multi-unit buildings. Despite rent decreases, the cost of living remains a major concern for most residents, with many feeling the country is heading in the wrong direction.
