BC home sales pick up pace in September as pent-up demand returns
British Columbia's housing market saw a 4.4% year-over-year increase in residential sales in September, with average prices rising slightly to $948,296. Total sales volume reached $5.5 billion, up 4.8%, though sales remain 21.4% below the ten-year average. Lower interest rates are boosting demand, but affordability challenges persist. Year-to-date sales and prices are down, yet momentum suggests a stronger finish to 2025.
